I Scored at the Thrift Store – $5 Take it Now!

How could I say no?

It seemed more like an order.

$5 – Take it Now!

Eclectically Vintage thrift find

In red marker too.

Those thrift shop ladies meant business.

A teak mid century Danish Modern bar cart on casters – made in Denmark stamped on the bottom!

They are selling on Ebay for $350 and up!

So even though I technically saved $345, my hubs still rolled his eyes as I rolled it into the house.

Hey, who am I to say no to such a demand – in red marker?

Check out all the finds that I’ve been Scoring at the Thrift Store til the cows come home!

Wish I could find me a cart like that and for such a cheap price as well

  3. That is a total score. I’m red with jealousy! We’ve got a guy who runs a shop near us who always gives you a price lower than the one marked, but “That’s the price today! It won’t be the price tomorrow! If you want it, take it now.”

  4. Great cart!!! I am in the process of turning my home decor into mid-century
modern. I was lucky when I found (on the side of the road), an original mid-century modern record
player cabinet/console with the Victor stereo inside. Perfect condition inside and out!!!
I checked online and the few I could find similar to mine have a price tag of over $1000 ($1400
and $1800). wow! It pays to have one’s eyes open!!!

  5. I love this blog and what a great find.. Found a sewing machine table at a Yard sale brought it home for 4.50…. Want to sand it down and paint country blue.. but almost afraid to touch it.. Keep up with the fantastic blog!

  6. I don’t know if I love the table more or the fact that you followed the demand of the red letter sign. I would have done the same thing and my argument to my husband would be “the sign says take it now” and then he would complain as we try to squish it into our four door sedan. I scored a 5$ piece of furniture but it was not vintage or of this quality. Pure Awesomeness! Score for you! Lesley

  7. I bought a $7.00 teddy bear at an auction and my husband rolled his eyes….When I sold it on Ebay for $719.00 he smiled and no longer rolls his eyes at my silly purchases.

  8. It’s nice Kelly. Especially for $5.00! Are you going to leave it be? Maybe just a good cleaning, polish. I can see a white cotton runner on the top. For sure, this is something I would have definitely bought as a younger gal collecting useable things. Even though you’ll have to dust at least once a week, cart is marvelous! Bottles of booze will look great, along with assorted glasses. ENJOY!
