Do you have a green thumb?

Or do you plant things that seem to wither and die before your eyes?

The solution?

Plant grass – well, it’s really not grass it’s …

cat grass!

  1. That a great idea, i have so many little milk glass pieces and this would definitely brighten up our home. I will just have to be sure the catnip is out of our cats reach!

  2. Love you milk glass ontainers.
Have done this in years past but I had stuck in some bunnies and little chicks in among the grass.

  3. I have done something similar in the past with wheat grass seeds and have been looking all over for it, but haven’t found any yet. If I don’t find the wheat grass, I’ll plant some catnip! Thanks for the idea!

  4. This is super cute Kelly!!! I really love it since you know I can showcase my milk glass collection this way too! I really want to try this, where did you get catnip? I totally have black thumb and praying I wont kill something like this!

  5. Glad you told me those eggs were blown out, because I was thinking I’ve been doing it wrong…. we got chickens to have eggs and I thought maybe all you have to do is plant them to get ’em.

    1. Hahaha! Bliss, you’re a hoot! I’m afraid I couldn’t do this craft ‘cuz I got cats. I have one that’s already addicted to treats…I’d hate to add kitty crack to the mix!

  6. Bliss is just so funny … I was going to say something cute, but to follow Bliss’s comment, I was laughing so hard, I forgot what I was going to say. Anyway Kelly … growing eggs is a fun and very pretty decorations. Thanks for the idea.

  7. These are adorable, Kelly! I love the eggs ‘planted’, too. (but do you mean ‘cat grass’? It doesn’t look like catnip that I’ve seen before.) These are perfect little Easter centerpieces. 🙂

  8. Pretty Kelly! I am with Jessica on this one 🙂 You are all over the spring decor. Gonna have to get moving over here. Thanks for all the inspiration.

  9. I do this with wheat grass each year, but the eggs are such a pretty accent! There’s just something about having something fresh and green sprouting that makes you feel like you can make it through a long winter. Thanks for the pretty inspiration!

  10. How cute! I am still depressed that I didn’t do much for Christmas decor, I totally skipped Valentines, now I have to do Easter? It is on my birthday this year too. I think instead I will just decorate everything with Happy Birthday themes. I love the Cat Grass, as long as it won’t attract Cats, it looks good.

  11. I love this idea! The grass is adorable in those milk glass cups. You always have wonderful ideas! I’d love for you to stop by and link this up to the party I’m co-hosting this week. There is a $50Target Gift Card Giveaway to enter too! Have a wonderful week!

  12. Thank you so much for the simple, beautiful and safe idea for our centerpiece this weekend. I have a 25 year old special needs daughter who will be shopping tomorrow for items she can put together for our table this weekend. You have made my day with your wonderful creative ideas. I can’t say thanks enough!!
    Warmly,
