I Scored at the Thrift Store – Glass Fishing Buoys
Like a fish, I’m attracted to shiny objects.
So I know if I was doggy paddling in the waves and gulping salt water, I would have swam straight towards these bobbing buoys.
Remember when I found these big glass fishing buoys during my journey to Brimfield last summer?
Well, they’ve been multiplying and now I have a vintage bread basket full.
Think the little ones were for guppies?
I think I’d feel like a fish out of water without my fun little collection of buoys.
Check out all of my Scores from the Thrift Store finds here.

I’ll trade you some fishing buoys for a fan!
I’ve got two fans Kirby – what else you got girl!!?
I would love to get my hands on some of these! Great scores, Kelly.
That was one fantastic find! I want a collection of those for my beach house one day. (A girl’s gotta dream!) Life to the full, Melissa
Love these (as you know!)… that is QUITE the collection, Kelly!
xo Heidi
PS — don’t you always wonder where they’ve been, how far they’ve traveled, what they might have seen along the way?? So cool. 🙂
I wonder that about all my finds – when I go to estate sales and see a lifetime accumulation of stuff that’s all being sold – it’s kind of sad too.
No you did not! Lucky duck. I’ve been searching for fishing buoys for years. Little jealous over here this morning! Awesome find.
Wow Kelly!! I just love the glass fishing net buoys….you truly scored Kelly…I have a collection of these vintage Japanese cuties that I received from my mom…I love that yours are so colorful!!…Have a great weekend!
Who knew these cld look so nice displayed this way!
Love those! I bought 3 last year in Michigan, but I haven’t seen any since. I love the colors!
Those are so great. Did you know what they were when you found them? I’ve never seen them before, but I love the shape and color and textures of them. Beautiful in the basket!
Yes I knew – but I don’t think they did!! Lucky for me!
You must have some awesome thrift stores in your neck of the woods. Love your fishing bouys. I have 3 from a longtime ago. They’d like to have a playdate with yours.
And those big ones, do you happen to remember what you paid? I passed on some at an auction recently, and I’m thinking I should have bid just one more time.
I think I paid $25 or $30 each for the biggies – what did they sell for at auction?
So, so, so envious!!! Beautiful!
Fantastic find! I so want…
What a fantastic find!!
Cynthia
Such beautiful colors!!

Gorgeous! The colors are beautiful. I think I need to start one of these collections.
Wow! Great finds! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those at the thrift store. 🙂
Well, I’m completely jealous! What a score those big ones were, especially! I have three sizes of the purple, then one blue and one green. I LOVE them. On a side note, I have that exact same bread basket in the cupboard – that I use for bread. I love your floats in it!
Well you’ll never believe this (or you probably can!) – but I have a collection of bread baskets too – I’ll have to share them all soon!
These are amazing! What a great find!
Aren’t those beautiful?! Such wonderful colors! What a fabulous find…
oh your collection is so beautiful! Little Bit
Those are cool – love the big old ones!
I love your collection of floats. The little purple one is incredible! I have about 20 in my stash. All various colors and sizes. They are in my clam baskets right next to my fish tank. My best friend lives on the Alaskan coast and he sends floats to me occasionally. We always wonder where they’ve been. What was caught in the nets ect..
He calls them my mermaid bubbles! Your posts are always so much fun Kelly.

Once again I’m jealous! Although I’m imagining my son trying to play baseball with these, so maybe I’ll wait a few years to start my collection 🙂 Love em!
What a fantastic find… beautiful colors! I only have 2… just 2 and not as pretty either!
Green with envy,
Pendra
I have actually never seen those before that I can recall. I LOVE them! May have to start searching and collecting myself!
Great find Kelly … the colors are so pretty. I have some, but not colorful. Great display.

Your thrift store is just so filled with a lot great stuff! I’ll share some of my hoard too next week. By the way, I have the same silver bowl you have here holding your guppies, yup, you guessed it, from the thrift store! 😉
I never seem to have luck at the thrift stores. But you’ve got some great stuff!

Wow, those were an awesome find! What great colors 🙂
These are so neat! I would never have thought to scoop these up and display them, but they look fantastic. I don’t think I have ever even seen things like this in a thrift shop. Must be an East Coast thing……
