Christmas in the Dining Room – It’s all in the Details
I’ve showed you most of my decked out Christmas home tour but today I’m sharing even more as part of Lindsay’s Blogger Stylin’ Home Tour – Christmas edition. You can check out over 40 creative tours all week long.
The fabulous Julia from Cuckoo for Design shared her home and if you’re stopping over from there – welcome!
We’ll be spending a lot of time lingering over good food and wine and even better conversation and laughs in my Christmas dining room so I really focused on the little details.
I had a little help from a little elf named Sushi.
She’s been chewing on ornaments, knocking over trees, slobbering on gifts and causing mischief wherever she goes …
but she’s redeeming herself by showing you how we decked out our dining room for Christmas.
This is where the fun and frivolity happens.
A hutch becomes the perfect place to show off an old milk glass collection filled with bling.
Eat, drink and be merry (my latest HomeGoods find).
My no sew jute table runner has the perfect hint of Christmas red.
My favorite new industrial cabinet is perfect for showing off more Christmas details.
I absolutely adore this free Christmas village printable and mine lives in an oversized snow globe.
My cardinal themed tree sets a festive mood.
There’s even a little Christmas village with glowing snow.
Cheers to a festive Christmas with lots of fun details.
The creativity continues tomorrow at My Fabuless Life so be sure to stop by to see her home.
But before you go …
Don’t miss my full Christmas Home Tour.
Can’t get enough Christmas?
Love it. Your tree is so gorgeous and of course seeing Sushi just melts my heart. Her daddy says hello 😉 and Merry Christmas.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Love the squirrel with the little light bulb and so much more. Blessings
Loved your picture s. Your hutchs and china closets are gorgeous!
I love the copper accents in the milk glass!! Who’d a thunk it? You, of course, always bringing something new to the table. Love the industrial cupboard all set for Christmas!!
Love it, Kelly! That industrial cabinet is amazing and love the detail of the squirrel with the light!
This post shows how effectively just few additions can create a holiday mood when you don’t feel like going all out with decorating. We all have those years, and just by pulling the colors of the season from small things can make a big impact.
Ok, a pet with a Christmas outfit helps too! 🙂
Beautiful, Kelly! Love your traditional red holiday décor and cardinal tree. That squirrel is darling. I want those vintage light bulbs. I’ve seen jewelry artist making the cutest necklaces and ornaments with them.
Happy Holidays 🙂
Kelly, your little details are BIG touches to bring a smile to my soul! The squirrel with the bulb, brilliant…the copper ornaments overflowing joy in the cabinet, the runner…(No wonder all the red jute was gone when I was at Joann Fabrics looking to make bows!). Love your hanging lanterns over the dining table….mmmm sublime!
Always look forward to see what you do next! Bravo!
gorgeous, kelly! i love the browns and golds and love that wagon!
So pretty and festive Kelly! I love the way you did the plates, such a nice touch! That is the perfect setting for a wonderful holiday dinner! Merry Christmas, Kristin
What time is dinner?? So inviting, Kelly, and I love the gold ornaments in your white ware. Cheers!
xo heidi
The way you pull together all that eclectic goodness never ceases to amaze me, Kelly! Beautiful as always!
That squirrel is adorable, Kelly! I especially love the plaid ribbon garland.
Kelly I love your milk glass and copper colored ornaments! You tree is gorgeous and the Christmas village is too sweet! Cheers!
gorgeous! especially love the ornaments in the milk glass 🙂
OH my Kelly, your Christmas home is perfect, so cozy, simple and awesome, love, love it all. You really did up your home incredibly Wonderfully. Will be studying all your vignettes to get more ideas. Poor little Sushi, she’s so darned adorable, want to hug and smooch her. Does she like affection? Our dog loves it. I’ll be hanging laundry and he’ll nudge my leg to give him a kiss. He’s such a lover and so sweet. Big lug.
Love the wagon scene also, so cute. I have a cute little beat up wagon like yours but right now it’s got hay for chickens in it. Guess some hay in living room wouldn’t hurt anything, do you think? House is mess from working on making holiday items for upcoming craft show on 13th. IF I get it all done I’ll be amazed. Today had to lie down for few minutes in nice quiet dark bedroom to rest. Yeah I’m getting old and very tired.
Hope you are enjoying the season, decorating, etc. Happy week
Yes, Sushi is one overly affectionate pup. She never met a person she didn’t want to shower with slobber and licks! She was just spayed yesterday but that has not dampened her happiness! Good luck with your craft show!
Love all of your details…from the fabulous hutch of white to the cool bookcase you styled into a tree!…and then there are those wonderful stairs!…
That industrial cabinet is KICK ASS!!!!
Loving everything, especially the small touches like the squirrel and the Christmas village!
Such a beautiful tour! Love the hutch filled with white and gold! xox, Emily
Love the touches everywhere. it’s all beautiful.
