I found Patsy on instagram @BlessedMommatoBaby Girls.  She lives in a dream farmhouse in Tennessee that she and her husband built!

It started out as a small (1,100 sf) carriage house 15 years ago.  They lived there for 11 years until they were able to create their dream addition – a rustic farmhouse with tons of character.

While the farmhouse may be new, it has an old soul thanks to wood beams made from Patsy’s husbands grandfather’s 100 year old barn wood floors.

Patsy’s husband can build pretty much anything and the house is filled with his handiwork including this beautiful wood range hood.

  1. What a beautiful home you have. So enjoyed the tour. It is spectacular yet very cozy looking!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Love the house tour! I loved the metal water trough swimming pool, but wouldn’t it be dangerous if there is lightning before a thundershower since it is metal?

  3. Swoon…the kitchen, the bathroom, the covered patio. I love all the thoughtful touches, architectural details and inspiration throughout this home. Can’t stop looking. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Could you tell me about the artwork hanging on the walls of the living room & the covered porch (the artwork with the white barn/house/building on them.) Thank you!

  5. Thank you to everyone for the sweet comments! We have enjoyed the cow trough that my hubby made into a pool by adding a chlorinated filter for 12 years now and haven’t ever had any issues. The carriage house is a southern living plan that is no longer available, and I sketched out the addition on paper and my hubby drew it up on a $20 computer program, and we then found a framer willing to work with is without blueprints, we were
trying to avoid paying an architect, so we never had blueprints. And the paintings in the den and on the porch I painted. Have a blessed day and thank you again for the sweet comments!

  6. Please share the green paint color in the kitchen – I love it!!! Love all the texture in this house – great work!

  7. Wow! Now this is what farmhouse style is all about! I love every detail. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

  9. Kelly I see what you mean about what you love the most. That’s hard to say. Do I take a nap on a comfy bed in a calm bedroom or do I run down the hall and jump into the tub with all those bubbles. Omg there not one thing I would die for to just have one portion of this home. Just beautiful. Thank you so much for letting me into your home. I really enjoy it.

  10. would love to know the name of the green on the kitchen island, our daughter is looking for a green and really liked this color, thanks a bunch..Sue
