Life as a Thrifter – Fab Laundry Guest Post
Thrilled to have Holly from Life as a Thrifter guest posting today. I knew she was my long lost thrifting sista when she re-used an old crib spring just like I did!
So … here’s Holly!
Hello! My name is Holly Marsh, and I blog over at Life as a Thrifter! I’m super excited to be guest posting here today! My blog is all about repurposing thrifty finds, and I’m thrilled to be sharing just that!
Recently, I made a few changes in our lifeless laundry room. It sat and sat with bare walls and boring appearance…until I simply couldn’t stand it any longer. Here are a few things I did…
“New” light fixture: old gas station light, $10 from eBay.
“Laundry” sign: $6 from Ross Dress for Less
Old wash board: $15 from flea market
Old pant hangers: $.25 a piece from thrift store
Mod Podged pictures on canvas: see tutorial here
“WASH” letters: $2.50 a piece from Hobby Lobby
Old fan belt rack: $20 from flea market
Old crib frame: $7 from thrift store
Wall color- Sherwin Williams: Marquis Orange
Thanks, Kelly for allowing me to share today!

Kelly,
A soul sister in the crib picture hanging project! Love this guest post. Holly is amazing and super talented. Awesome job on the laundry room and that color……I need a little bit of that at 7:00 in the am to get my day started.

Hi Holly
I love what you did in your laundry room. It gave me some inspiration!
Mine is in dire need of an uplift…I am thrifter too so..I will hopefully be able
to use some “finds” and give it a new look…Happy days to you and thank you!!

I just love how Holly embraces color in her home! She takes those old thrift store finds and breathes new and colorful life into them again! So many wonderful elements from the light overhead to that mod podge art handing on those amazing hangers!

I love how cheerful the laundry room looks. I probably wouldn’t mind doing laundry if mine looked like that. Using the pant hangers was a great idea!
Oh wow! What a happy place to do laundry. Love the hangers with the photos. THAT is a fantastic idea. Thank you for sharing your space =)
I really like that retro laundry sign hanging above the washer/dryer 🙂 Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂
Love the laundry room and the ways that Holly re-purposes vintage finds. I will have to check out her blog!
My favorite is the gas station light. How cool is that? Heading over to her blog now!

The trouser hangers for pictures — brilliant! I would love a laundry room like that. My laundry “room” is in the basement of our 1902 house. Not exactly posh down there!
wow what a beautiful home!!!
Fantastic laundry room…What a cheery place to do such a “non-cheery” task!!!..
