Think Spring Mantel

Spring has Sprung!

Sunshine! Good Times! Blooming Bulbs! Frolicking in a Meadow!
(ok, well maybe not that last one)!

Away with the heaviness of winter and in with something fresh and simple.

My vintage green glass collection was gathering dust bunnies so I moved
some faves to the mantel where I can enjoy them in a whole new light.

I snipped a few ferns during a walk in the woods

I love the blueish green optic glass vase the best – hope it doesn’t make the other glass jealous!

Two thrift store alabaster doves.

What have you done to freshen up your house for Spring?

  1. Miss Kelly, it’s stunning… and so YOU!
Love that glass piece best too. We won’t tell though.
It reminds me of a peacock feather!

My grandmother had that exact set of birds. Thanks for the bit of nostalgia.

  2. Looking beautiful Kelly. Your blog is looking good too. I am making the move on Friday. What did you mean your pictures did not transfer?

  3. Hi Kelly! Welcome to WP! You’ll love it once you get the hang of it!
Your mantle is sooooo fresh — love to see collections massed together for impact. Bet you’re enjoying this one!! Have a great day ~ Heidi

If you are interested in transferring to WP – I have found the perfect gal to transfer the blog and do a great design and also teach you the ropes (I’ve learned so much from her already – and she’s going to be offering video classes for small groups). Don’t be scared – my pics didn’t transfer because I went from my first sight to blogger then to WP -it was the first switch that did it! If you want more info- shoot me an email at [email protected]

  4. Congrats on the transfer! That complete sucks about your pictures though. There is just something about green glass. I pick it up wherever I go and most of the time I don’t set it back down until I have to pay for it. The ferns are a nice touch. I have rearranged furniture and gotten out the bunnies for our spring change!

  5. The green glass is gorgeous! I’ll have to send you a picture of mine… LOVE it. But have to stop! I saw a deep green seltzer bottle last weekend – but it was $140! Needless to say, I left it there.

  6. Your mantel looks great with all that beautiful green vintage glass! Thank you for sharing at Potpourri Friday. You participation is always appreciated! Happy St Patrick’s Day!

  7. Looks like WordPress is treating you well… it looks fabulous! The mantel is SO pretty, too. I love the blue green vase… just beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing at our party this week! Can’t wait to see what you are up to next week!

    Take care,

    Trish

  8. Just incorporated a chaise into my living room decor. Bought 2 citron and black pillows and citron lamps for the mantel. Want to make a few pillows and some wall art.

  9. I love the green glass! So pretty!
I found you on the blog hop and I am now following you! Check out my blog, and feel free to follow me too! Myblissfulhappiness.blogspot.com

  10. OH, LOVE all that colored glass. Is some of it Depression Era glass? you have this one green glass dish, that looks like it has a gentle impression pattern on it. Oh, and it matches some green Depression Era glass candy dishes that my aunt gave to me.

How do you like using WordPress? What made you decide to switch? Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂

  11. Your mantel is gorgeous!! I love the green (as you noticed last week!). Your green is way better than my dollar store green, though! I love all your collections. I really want to come over and visit your house!! Pretty please?! 🙂

I’m featuring this pretty mantel at Mantel Monday!! Thanks for linking it up!

  12. Your mantel is stunning! The colors are so striking and the arrangement of the glassware flows so effortlessly. I love the way the colors of the glassware bring out the painting above the mantel. Beautifully done!
