Christmas Nights Tour
You’ve seen my house decked out in the light of day (if you missed it, see my full Christmas Home Tour HERE) but this time I’ve lit the candles and turned on the twinkle lights for my Christmas Nights Tour.
For the past few years, my friend Rachel of Maison de Pax has set up this tour with some amazing bloggers and it’s my favorite thing besides a stocking full of diamonds.
If you’re popping over from Sarah at Life on Virginia Street, welcome.
I’m sharing links to all of these festive nighttime home tours at the end of this post but first, let me kick things off in my own home. I’ve included affiliate links.
At the top of my nice list this year is definitely this pair of sparse Christmas trees in my dining room. I love their airy branches for showing off my vintage Shiny Brites and it’s the perfect place to linger over a glass (oh who are we kidding – a bottle) of wine.
Yesterday was the winter solstice – the shortest day of the year – which means lights are necessary to keep from going insane when it’s pitch black outside at 5pm.
Mercury glass trees take center stage and sparkle with my favorite battery operated copper fairy lights.
This is what my tree looks like after a few glasses of wine!
Wrap lights around any random object for a little holiday cheer.
Twinkling lights and pom poms make everything better.
Remind me to turn put out the fire before Santa decides to shimmy down the chimney.
Because perfectly styled trees are so 2016, I stick with tradition and our family Christmas tree that’s filled with memorable ornaments my hubby and I have given each other over the years or that are made by or given to my girls each year.
Go on and light some candles and turn on some glowing lights because everyone looks better by twinkle lights.
P.S. You can get my full source list on my Christmas Home Tour HERE.
Now, hop over to see Krista of The Happy Housie and her sparkling home.
