Room Update with Cottage Style Storage
Girls.
Specifically teen girls.
They want a fun place to hang out with their friends (and escape their lame parents) where they can watch borderline inappropriate movies, paint their nails, braid each other’s hair, commiserate on how hard their lives are … girl stuff.
So I turned one of our attic bedrooms into a hangout room.
Before this wall was a black space crying out for some attention but once I spotted this Sauder storage credenza, I knew it would be the perfect place to store their never ending supply of stuff.
This is one sturdy piece that looks so impressive in person and it was simple to put together …
I especially love the top that looks just like a piece of weathered barn wood …
the metal id labels …
and the adjustable cubbies.
What can I say – I love it!
It’s such a basic piece that can be jazzed up so many ways and I can picture it in a kitchen holding stacks of plates and bowls, in a media room with a tv on top or behind a sofa filled with books and baskets.
Check out the Sauder lookbook where you can get tons of ideas for styling lots of different pieces of furniture.
The girls love the new addition to their hang out room …
I fear I may never see them again.

Thanks Sauder for the fun piece of furniture – all opinions are my own.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Sauder. The opinions and text are all mine.
i LOVE those bins! the styling is gorgeous! where are the bins from- are they sauder, too?
Bins are from HomeGoods Cassie – aren’t they fun!
Cool organization spot Kelly!
Thanks Vel!
If I was back in my teens, I wouldn’t want to leave that room either. =]
Very nice decor while staying casual and cosy.
I actually want that room all for myself!
Uh, “I” love to watch borderline inappropriate movies and paint “my” nails … does that mean I can come hang out in this awesome, new room?! I love all of the colors and those cool bins … great job, Mom!
Come on over Becca – but I’ll kick out my girls and bring up a bottle or two of wine for us!
