Eclectic Home Tour – Nesting with Grace
“I am a firm believer that your surroundings affect your mood and state of happiness.”
Brooke from Nesting with Grace recently moved from UT to CT and she’s been surrounding herself with a happy home.
Tour her cozy cape cod then stay awhile to visit all of my Eclectic Home Tours – there’s definitely something for everyone!
She went bold and graphic on the floor and light and bright in the rest of the kitchen.
Opposites attract with chic brass cabinet hardware mixed with butcher block counters.
Love the cozy Chesterfield sofa.
This typewriter got the midas touch with a can of spray paint.
The piano is ready for her solo dressed in chalk paint.
Dramatic gray walls help create a cozy master bedroom.
Temporary wallpaper packs a graphic punch in a shared little girls room
I’m sure the girls are nuts about it!
Living only a mile from the beach, the bathroom naturally gets a nautical touch.

‘Love reading your posts. Today/s, Jan. 23, had a wall hanging beginning with “Love grows in little houses”. I was able to read about 2/3 of it but would appreciate knowing the last third. Thanks.
Hi Marilyn – love that sign! Please hop over to Nesting with Grace blog (link in my post) to ask her.
Enjoying your post and pictures with a hot cup of coffee, we may have missed the storm, but it’s still chilly here in Michigan. I especially loved the gray walls in the bedroom, do they have a touch of blue in them? Also, are the little squirrel pillows still available? Enjoy your weekend and stay cozy!
Love that bedroom color too Linda – it’s Benjamin Moore Gray. I don’t believe the squirrel pillow is available anymore – if I remember correctly, I think they are from H&M. Stay warm!
I love the bookshelves and the blue couch, lot of other things but I cannot tell you how much I hate the trend of antlers and fur! Blech!
It is definitely a big trend Charlotte – I do love my furry pillows! Hope it’s warm and cozy where you are!
Brooke’s beautiful home is filled with charm, character and warmth! And love – you can just tell nothing is off limits to the kids. Fabulous tour!! I want those cool, graphic tiles in the kitchen. Plus that typewriter 🙂
Cheers,
Loi
Tone on Tone
Love that tile too Loi – my friend has something similar in her entrance vestibule and it’s definitely a statement! Stay warm (and hope those doggies go outside soon)!
That home looks so cozy and welcoming to all. Hope family are happy in new home and location. Not easy moving house. Our kids tell us how they hated moving away from friend/schools as we moved to different states/ cities a few times.
Her home is wonderful. We have to follow what we feel. Happy weekend
My girls were not happy when we moved when they were 7 and I know it gets harder as they get older but luckily Brooke has very young kids! Hope it’s warm where you are JaneEllen – 19″ of snow so far and still falling!
Thanks Kelly, this is another wonderful tour. Brooke has done a great job with her home.
Brooke must be my kindred spirit. I’ve been saying decor affects mood for years, yet so many people think working to create a beautiful and functional home is frivolous. Pinning, thanks!
Wow! Brooke’s home is unique. I love her kitchen floor and love the lounge feel of the dining area of the kitchen. I’ve always wanted a settee in the kitchen. Her whole house has so many wonderful elements and details. This home would definitely affect my mood and make me happy.
Agree – it’s a very happy home Sandy! That flooring is AMAZING!
I love the punches of gray everywhere, especially the dark gray door in the kitchen with the gold handle. LOVE IT!! I have been looking for some examples of how the gray would look against the gold hardware before I commit to it for my kitchen remodel.
Glad you found inspiration Tabatha!
Love this home! Kinda random question. I wanna know where the oven is from-it looks so cute & retro!
