Before & Afters You Won’t Believe!

July 18, 2012  Uncategorized

Have I got a treat for you today!

Cassie from Primitive & Proper is crashing my blog to share some of her

fabulous furniture makeovers!

That girl has style I tell you.

So without further ado, here’s Cassie …

Hi all!  I am Cassie from Primitive and Proper and I am so excited to be here at Eclectically Vintage!

I share a love of well, eclectic and vintage with Kelly!

I adore her sense of humor as well as her sense of style and feel like a blogebrity since I get to post on her blog today!

My blog is mainly about decor and furniture revamps….

I love upcycling anything from thrifted junk to furniture to rooms in my house😉

I host a weekly link party that is for furniture redos only, so if you love making over furniture pieces, then I would love to see you there!

I am always hunting and gathering and sanding and painting… it’s party hobby, part business, part passion, all me.

Since furniture is a specialty for me, I thought I would share with you some of my more recent eclectic and vintage makeovers.

Today, you will get my top 5 favorites from the last 6 months.

I hope you enjoy!  And here they are, in random order, drumroll please….

This first dresser is now in my master bedroom, which will hopefully get its makeover this summer, but heck, who knows!?)

I found it on craigslist and though I was not planning to replace the dresser I had, I fell in lurve with this asian inspired dresser.

I had better get to work on that room so I can show you it in place rather than in my driveway.

Here it is before:

And after:

Primitive and Proper dresser

The dresser it replaced was also a recent favorite.

It was a white sleek midcentury dresser I adored, but since I gave it the boot, I decided to give it a makeover as well.

Here it is before:

And after:

Another favorite is this round table that I found at Goodwill.  I adored its shape and went with a restoration hardware inspired look.

Here is the table before:

And after:

Often favorites are the pieces I keep for myself. 🙂

I loved this desk and it was a perfect fit for our living room and a great opportunity for me to add color.

Here is the before:

And after:

And finally one more to share with you today!

I am always a sucker for French sideboards, so of course I snatched this one up from my local thrift shop!

Here is the before:

And after:

Thanks for letting me crash Kelly’s blog today!

I do share the colors and finishes on my blog, so just click on the links before the pictures if you are curious about any of it.

And I hope you will hop over and see me sometime, maybe share your furniture makeover, or a bottle of wine????  Any takers?

Kelly, thank you so much for sharing your friends with me today!

Primitive and Proper

Wow – thanks so much Cassie for crashing my blog!

You have the most amazing furniture makeovers

and of course I’d love to chill on your porch for a glass (or two) of wine!

I LOVE Cassie’s work – I think the coral table is my favourite, or the very first dresser… or actually her daughters bedroom reveal! Great guest post!

I love Cassie’s blog and it was fun to see her over “here”. I think the turquoise buffet is my favorite because of the amazing color and hardware.

Oh, I’m first in line with that bottle of wine! I just adore all the “afters” … but there’s a special place in my heart for that orange desk in Cassie’s living room!

    Great guest post!
