I can say I knew her before she was famous.
My friend Karah (who I drank key lime martinis with in Key West this summer) of The Space Between has written a book!

Some of my faves …
She had me at wine.
This idea for a welcome mat walked all over me.
What a whale of an idea.
It’s about time I did something like this.
So for all of us pallet virgins or for those of you that have been around the pallet wood working block a few times …

The wood pallet clock has always been a favorite and one I would love in our home. I love so many pallet projects that bloggers have created…
Love the wood pallet wine rack and have been wanting to make one for a while now. Just one of many I would like to try. And love your blog Kelly, always look forward to seeing it!
Since I’m a coastal girl, I’ll have to say the whale cutout project is my favorite!
oh the whale for sure! I love whales….at the top of my bucket list is to go whale watching!
I like the cut-out project and I like the clock. My friend makes United States flags out of pallets, but my absolute favorite is the ice cream bar my daughter made out of two pallets and some plywood. She stained it and polyurethaned it and it is beautiful.
My favorite recent pallet project was one my daughter- in- law did this summer. She turned the pallet on its side, painted it blue, put hooks on the front and made it a pool toy storage area. She put the noodles inside between the slats, hung swim rings on the hooks, and hung a bucket to put the balls and small toys in. I think she did a great job as she doesn’t read blogs or look at mags like I do for inspiration. I would like to win the book for her. My son has access to lots of pallets and they really enjoyed doing this for their two boys!
I think the clock is gorgeous
My favorite is a grill stand made out of pallets with a recessed area for a drink tub. Also, an outdoor sofa made from pallets.
My fave is making a pallet into a verticle herb planter.
Love your whale, your vision and talent is amazing
Thank you so much for sharing Kelly!! XO
Kelly, You always share the best Giveaways! This book looks awesome. I’ve always been enamored with the things that are upcycled from pallets, especially the gorgeous outdoor coffee tables and general furniture. What a fab book!!
I love pallet projects! I have access to plenty of pallets, but sadly no room to work on them – YET!! I really like outdoor furniture and racks for storage. That clock was really cool too. I would love a book for more ideas and inspiration. Thank you for your blog.
Love all those ideas…I’ve never used pallets before either. (I know, shocking huh?”) my all time favorite up cycling was a greenhouse made from cathedral -type windows. Just stunning!
I have a project in mind for a friend who asked me to make a sign for his herbal garden. I want to use pallet boards because I like “rough” appearance you get with pallet wood. Love the projects we got to take a peek at in your new book! I am a beachy type gal and love the coastal projects in the book!!
I love the wine rack and had done something similar to hold by cans of spray paint! Especially love pallet projects for outdoor furniture (my very first attempt at DIY) and, hopefully, will use some for framing for a shed next year.
I saw a wood pallet upcycled to a picture frame. I have also seen them turned into tables. Love em.
Oooo, I love the whale cutout, I would love to hang that bad boy in our guest washroom!!! I love all sorts of pallet projects, from signs to furniture…love the thought of reusing!
I love the clock pictured! Great ideas here, thanks for the giveaway!
Love the wine holder!
Some of the best upcycle ideas I see are making benches out of cribs or other beds. (I also like seeing pallet wood used for making tables, shelves and making other useful items.)
Love the clock and the welcome mat!
My favorite upcycle Iv’e seen so far has been using a wire vintage dress form as a trellis for the garden, love that idea and am waiting for the right time to plant around mine!!
My favorite upcycle is furniture made out of old pallets.
I favorite until now has been a rustic light made from metal barrel rims bur now it might just be that pallet whale in the new book.
Favorite upcycling project, wow that is a hard one because I always gravitate more to those than anything. I do have a strange “obsession” with turning bowling balls into yard art, using them like a gazing ball and if the holes are big enough I even plant some small succulents in those to bring it to life, literally! I am now collecting more hoping to get enough to use them as a border for the garden. I think they are so fun!
Beth, never thought about planting in the bowling bowls, I have done mosaic on them with broken dishes, like your idea!
My favorite projects I’ve seen from pallets, is where they have taken them apart & used them to make flooring or paneled a wall with them. So many clever ideas. I have a friend that her & her husband made a beautiful board walk out of pallets in their garden.
My favorite is the Chevron Window Tray!
I love making signs with the wood pallets. My favorite would have to be the one I created for my son’s birth that is still in his room.
I saw a wood pallet turned into a vintage looking crate full of toys. It was awesome!
love the herb garden pallets, but have to say the whale sign in the book is so great!
A bar table made of two pallets cut in half then slate squares for top…..thank you…
My favorite upcycling idea and project from pallets is creating outdoor furniture, especially a “swing bed” for the porch! What a fantastic book you have designed and created! Congratulations!
A twin platform bed made out of pallets
I love the cut-out! However, my favorite has to be a storage box that was put onto casters… so simple, yet it had such a big effect!
My favorite is the whale. The symbol is special in our family.
I have a pallet leaning against my garage that is just begging to get made into and outdoor table!
I love upcycled furniture – a dresser made ino a bathroom counter or kitchen island are some of my favorites as well as anything chalkboard.
I would love to make chairs out of pallets to sit around the fire pit.
I’ve always had an eye on a pallet clock b/c I love the rustic look. My friends and I remade some pallets into flags which was my first ever pallet project. I’m hooked!!!
I also have never worked with wood pallets, but I would have to say my favorite upcycle from a wood pallet would be a monogram letter cut from the wood after the pieces are lined up horizontally and nailed to a strip on the back.
I have many favorites, but the one that sticks out the most right now is painting and using old tires as planters.
This a MUST have book-fantastic! For up-cycling, I have always loved the idea of repurposing furniture pieces as kitchen islands.
This book looks great! My favorite up-cycling project (at least for the moment) is something I just saw on HGTV. They made bench seating out of chairs, but they actually took the chairs apart to do it. The bottoms were lined up against the wall and spaced accordingly, then a “bench” was attached above. To top it off (no pun intended), they lined up the chair backs above the bottoms to delineate where to sit. Looked really cool!
That wall clock looks amazing. I would love to make that.
So many favorites, but one of the first I saw long ago and still want to make is the bench from a crib. I have the crib, the tools and the want to, just need to get it done!
My favorite upcycle is the coffee table w/ casters!! By the by. . . I love your blog & all the inspiration you give me!! 🙂 thanks!
Coffe table on wheels made out of wood pallets
Oh, I love pallet everything! My favorite would have to be all the beautiful pallet headboards I’ve been seeing! Thanks for such a great giveaway.
I love so many upcycle projects. I am about to move and am planning a teacup chandelier for my daughters ‘big-girl room’ and a coffee table from our current kitchen rolling cart. But my favorite upcycle is an end table made by a friend of my grandparents out of wood flooring removed from an old school house. My parents bought it for me during a church auction. It is a fantastic mix of modern styling with repurposed materials.
I would love to win this book!
My son built a deck with wood pallets. he also made me the wine rack, a bench and a table for my porch…AWESOME. I would love to win the book and find some new projects 🙂
My favorite was painting my old piano to a pretty chalk paint robins egg blue
I love all the island and bar ideas!!
I really do love the Welcome Mat <3
I love all your projects! I would make a U.S. Flag! love the idea!!
That wine rack is awesome! I’d love to do some fun signage & shelving for around the house 🙂 I trashed picked old wood flooring that I need to re-purpose soon 😀 Thanks for this contest! I’d love to have this book!
