I found Beth of 1111 Light Lane on Instagram and fell in love with her California ranch that she’s updated in the best possible way. From the charming Spanish tile roof to the welcoming front porch, the outside of the home gives us an idea of what’s inside.
She had me at hello! A table in the entry is the perfect place to drop keys and baskets help keep everything organized.
I’d give up all of my upper cabinets for a wall of wrap around windows. Sconces provide lots of light.
Black cabinets pop against white walls and white subway tile laid vertically.
I love this modern interpretation of traditional Windsor chairs.
Every house needs a perfect little playhouse that is this adorable.
Sliding barn doors are perfect for separating small spaces.
A chunky piece of wood adds rustic charm to the painted brick fireplace.
Black doors add interest to white walls and natural wood accent furniture keeps things from being sterile.
Sisters (and a dog photo bomber) share this pretty in pink room.
The best part of living in California is of course getting to enjoy the outdoors and this beautiful tropical oasis.

I’ve never been to New Mexico! Would love to go some day – glad you had a nice trip but it’s way to early for snow!!
