Eclectic Home Tour – Plum Pretty Decor
Kayla of Plum Pretty Decor and Design is an interior designer specializing in farmhouse style as can be seen in her gorgeous North Carolina home.
“The main thing when decorating a space is that it’s purposeful, functional and beautiful. Think about how the space will be used and pick items you know will form a purpose and function. My home is lived in! When guests come over pillows are moved (thrown on the floor majority of the time), drinks are placed on tables/floors/rugs without coasters, chairs are scooted, and comfort is my main focus” says Kayla.

Kayla turned a 90’s cookie cutter home into something that looks like it’s been around for centuries.
A natural jute rug anchors the double sofas with chicken crate coffee table and a huge beaded chandelier adds drama.
I have the same marble herringbone tile in my kitchen – I love it on the fireplace surround.
Warm wood comes from a glass front cabinet, floor lamp and candlesticks.
This console table is the perfect perch for lots of farmhouse finds.
When life doesn’t hand you a fireplace, hang a chippy old mantel instead – add a huge tobacco basket for bonus points.
I love the look of mismatched chairs with a bench around the dining table.
How cool is this bed – rustic wood and elegant tufting all in one.
I love the double sliding doors.
I love this cozy breakfast nook with round table and settee.
Kayla is not only an amazing designer, she also sells her vintage finds at different festivals in NC. Who wouldn’t want to shop her booth!

Very frustrating, can’t even see pictures because of all the advertising. I just unsubscribed.
So sorry Deb – I am working with my ad company to get the right mix of ads. I’ll tell them about this – I always want my readers to have a good experience when visiting my blog!

Kelly,
Thank you so much for featuring my home. This is truly like a dream. Never would I have imagined anyone would want to share my home when we first moved in. But after almost three years it is finally coming together. Thank you so much for being the first blogger (other than myself) to share my home.
With love, Kayla
