Eclectic House Tour – Her Own Fabulous Style
Have you met my friend Diane of In My Own Style house tour?
I’ve been lucky enough to attend a few events with her and she’s been a guest in my house and we’ve gotten our estate sale shopping on together.
She’s the definition of DIY diva.
There’s nothing she can’t create including this I can’t believe it’s faux marble painting technique that had me fooled.
Here’s where Diane crafts her creative heart out.
I’ll be stealing this genius idea of a roller shade photography background.
She sews up a fine window treatment.
and even gives furniture a new lease on life – with pizazz.
Oh, did I mention she knows how to install a sliding barn door?
You’ve got to see the boring sideboard that became a turquoise DIY library cabinet with the power of just paint and hardware.
Diane and I have shared a glass or two of wine and I’d love to pop open a bottle in her kitchen.
Yes, she painted the cabinets to make them super glam glam.
Another genius idea from Diane is how to make a transom window.
She stencils …
I’ve seen her house before and just love it. What caught my attention this time around was the gold/polished brass (may be my computer but I wasn’t sure which way it went… or my eyes after baby’s arrival yesterday!) in the kitchen. It pairs so nicely with the white cabinets and makes it really stand apart from other white kitchens. I also love the bathroom’s space. The first few pics of the furniture are nice too, I love how she kept some wood tones in her house. Just beautiful!
Love her style, the green lamps on her aqua sideboard are my favorite!
Beautiful home! Diane has a wonderful flare for decorating and is so talented and creative!

Fantastic ideas – love this tour Kelly!
Diane truly is amazing. I love her style and how she creates such elegance from the simplest items!
I love Diane’s style and creativity! Her blog is one of my all time favs. I admire her style the most and have gained so many great ideas for decorating on the cheap and have used some of them!
gorgeous home! i love that office!!!!
Lost for words. I NEED a craft cabinet like that… And the wrapping paper roll holders on the wall… Genius! Definitely going to be having a closer look at this one and all the links. Thank you!
I looked at every single link (almost). What I thought was going to be a nice little read through became my obsession for the evening. How does this woman know so much, and how did she get into my brain and create half of the things on my DIY wish list? I love Transom windows, and even last night saw one on a show we were watching and was longing for one somewhere in my home. What a genius idea! I am also stealing that roller shade photo area. I need it on a big scale for furniture, but how lovely it would be to have a ready made photo area instead of searching for the right spot around my home every time. This is my favorite home tour by far. You bring the wine, I will bring the Diet Pepsi, I am heading over to Diane’s!
The perfect home! I so enjoy all of the tours you bring us. The inspiration just never stops!!!
Nothing but beauty everywhere you look! Is there anything this woman can’t do?! I’ll be going over to check out her blog, for sure.
I love finding a new place for inspiration and this girl is a wonder…I’m heading over to her blog to become a follower…don’t want to miss anything – thanks for sharing!
I love the faux marble, the craft closet is amazing and I think I will try the roller shade photo backdrop myself. Genius!
Wow! Her house is amazing! Her office is gorgeous and I love the mirrored transom window. She truly is ingenious.
