Exceptionally Eclectic – Small Cabin Style and Living with Intention
“When you pare down to less, you may just find that you’ve come out with more.” says Carmella of Assortment.
665 square feet in a cabin in Wyoming to be exact.
That’s where she lives with her husband and three boys.
This is a story of a cozy cabin but also one of taking a leap and living with less.
Her story is moving, her writing inspired.
Their lives were much different a few short years ago.
Great job and house in a far flung city … living the American dream.
Then the real estate market crashed and their losses were many.
That’s when they decided to move …
to a small cabin on rented land with horses for neighbors.
A temporary place to dwell while they search for a piece of land to build a house upon and put down deeper roots.
Then this cabin will become a guest house.
Each square inch well thought out.
Each space used to it’s fullest potential.
Living on less – a week’s worth of clothes for everyone.
No dishwasher, no garbage disposal – just the necessities.
Less stuff, less clutter and more thoughtfulness before something new is brought into the home.
A place to create always a necessity.
Visit Assortment to read Carmella’s inspiring story about making the leap to living with less but gaining much more than she could have imagined.

Could I do it … live with less ? If my house was as beautiful as this one, just maybe I could. Thanks for sharing this. I will enjoy reading Carmella’s story.

…~William Morris…
