When we moved into this house almost eight years ago, I let my girls choose their paint colors.
I don’t know if I should get a mom of the year award or if I’m the dumbest mom on the planet because my youngest by one hour twin chose the most cringe worthy shade of neon green! We even painted the ceiling the same horrific color! Like a nuclear explosion, her room literally glowed.
Thankfully she had a change of heart and decided that it was time to not only change the color of her room but to also take it from little girl to sophisticated teen.
You can see her sisters room makeover here.
We’re both thrilled with the way it turned out and were happy to partner with Joss and Main to turn her dream into a glam bedroom makeover reality.

Out went the twin bed and in came this gorgeous queen white tufted bed with nailhead trim – definitely worthy of a queen or my little princess!
My daughter likes to think outside the box like her mom and chose this rolling serving cart as her nightstand.
I love the way the antique brass finish pairs with the nailhead trim on the bed and the lower shelf holds an old makeup case to keep clutter hidden away.
An adjustable lamp is perfect for late night study sessions.
Every teen needs a place to show off her prized possessions and this modern shelf has plenty of display space. A tray corrals perfumes and lotions and keeps the shelves looking neat and tidy.
I hope my daughter has many sweet dreams in her glam new bedroom.
The best part was letting my daughter define her style … with just a little help from mom.
Oh and the second best thing is no more neon green paint!
