Moscow Mule, Mason Jars & a Giveaway!

Moscow Mule Recipe - I love this cocktail that's been around since 1942!

You know I’m all about a good cocktail and what they are served in is equally important for making a festive drink.

The Moscow Mule has been around since the 1940’s.

It was fate when the President of Smirnoff vodka got together with the owner of the famous Los Angeles Cock n’ Bull restaurant (who make their own ginger beer), and a classic cocktail was born.

Traditionally, these are served in copper mugs but I’m bucking tradition and serving mine in green mason jars complete with daisy lids.

Moscow Mule cocktail recipe - so cute served in these green mason jars

Moscow Mule Recipe

-2 oz vodka
-6 oz cold ginger beer (it’s non-alcoholic and I found a four pack a Trader Joe’s)
-1/2 lime

* Squeeze lime into mason jar then add the 1/2 lime to the glass

* add ice

* add vodka

* add ginger beer

pop in a straw for stirring and enjoy

Ginger beer - I love this stuff in cocktails

I love that these green jars come in two sizes.

  19. HI Thank you for sharing this giveaway. Fillmore Container has almost everything that I always use in which cost so much more than what they are offering. The natural soy wax is what I’m purchasing from them. I’ve been looking for a great supplier for this. Yipee!

  32. Ah, I just love browsing at Fillmore Container! But as much as I love all the pretty jars, lids, and accessories, if I were the lucky winner, I’d probably choose the one-pound bulk package of Pomona’s Universal Pectin. That would last me a VERY long time, for sure!
