Rustic Spring Mantel and a DIY Garland
Spring is in the air …
tomorrow is officially the first day of spring and I’m celebrating the warmer, longer, happier, brighter and all around better days with a fun mantel.
Remember my egg garland that I made a few years ago?

This is my 2015 version made from little carrot eggs from the dollar store and some clear fishing twine.
It’s easy – just make sure to get the eggs (carrots) that have little holes on either end then string together with twine and hang.
Don’t you just want to take a bite …
or plant a garden …
or make a crudite platter with lots of yummy dips?
Repeat after me: we don’t have to go all crazy, spend tons of time and money and stress out when decorating for each season.
Do you remember my winter mantel? Check it out to see how I used the exact same things …
with a fresh twist.
Shredded grocery bags make the perfect Easter grass.
Peter is a vintage 3-d puzzle from the thrift store.
What?
How did those red grain sack chairs get in here?
Next week, I’ll show you more of the living room all freshened up for spring.
Gotta hop to it.
I love Peter! He’s so cute and makes your rustic spring mantel perfect.
Have a great day.
