Quick and Easy Kitchen Renovation Ideas
I’m fickle.
But aren’t we all?
We finally get what we’ve been dreaming of …
only to wish we could do it a bit differently.
Don’t get me wrong – I am in love with My Kitchen.
But wouldn’t it be fun to redecorate on a whim (minus the cost, dust and stress)?
So we could do things like add mismatched drafting stools …
Hang oversized towel racks …
Install open shelving (to show off even more collections!) …
Add colorful cabinets …
And get funky with vintage school desks turned island like the DIY Showoff did her kitchen.
Although I can look at all the fabulous kitchen inspiration, I can’t touch but there’s always room for small tweaks like
this cute cast iron skillet memo board from At the Picket Fence.
So while I enjoy my kitchen every day, I’ll still be pinning away to my Kitchen Pinterest Board.
Hey, a girl can dream, right?!
Here’s to being inspired and always improving!
I need a new kitchen. Did you know that NC teachers are the lowest paid in the country? *sigh*
Sounds fun! I would LOVE a new kitchen… in the meantime, I just pin away (and pine away)… 🙂

I want those stools.
And that frying pan of Heather’s.
And that desk in Roeshel’s kitchen.
Thanks for reminding me of everything I need to fix 🙂

I am in love with the towel rack!…gorgeous kitchens…pinning away!!!
I love looking at kitchens and dreaming too. {awe – thanks for sharing a peak of my kitchen!} You have one amazing kitchen yourself, girl. All of those cabinets, those gorgeous pendant lights, dreamy appliances, gorgeous backsplash, vintage accents…need I go on? 😉 It is a lot of fun dreaming and pinning though!
I’m fickle too! We just redid our kitchen (http://www.urbanorchardinteriors.com/final-kitchen-wrap-up/) and I’m still loving it but sometimes wish I had done two tone cabinets…Oh well! Next time….
Love the open shelves and the long towels. The long towels isn’t a difficult thing to implement. Maybe we can do that and pretend that the rest of the kitchen magically transforms into these kitchens. That’ll work, right?
You might have solved one of my problems in my current kitchen with your example of those long towel bars installed on an island, thanks! I’ve been staring at lot at my kitchen and all I see are flaws and problems even though it was recently rebuilt; pinning with a purpose might help me develop a DIY fix-it plan, so I’m very glad to learn about the Home Talk opp, so thanks again. Robin
I love your inspiration photos, but have not seen the skillet or the old time school desk ideas before. Now those are ultra awesome!
Love the open shelves! I definitely can’t wait to do an overhaul on our kitchen some day!
I know what you mean! Always looking for something new-is that good or bad?
Per silhouette comment on prior post….find pic of your profile when young….make a copy…cut out…..trace on black paper…cut out your new/old silhouette! 🙂
I think about things to do different in my kitchen, heck my whole home every day. Never satisfied, but that is why pinning is so fun!
Hi Kelly, I just realized we live in the same area, kind of and that I needed to put you on my sidebar so I can follow your blog better. Can I ask you how the Blogher event was in NYC? I didn’t even realize it was going on.
I hope that you have been enjoying your summer, your blog is such a nice place to visit,as always:) Jen
I’ll have to follow the Hometalk Kitchen board! I feel some Pinterest virtual kitchen dreaming in my future!
I also love my kitchen but have other fantasy kitchen ideas. You know, for my mythical modern vacation house, ranch house, South African safari house… the usual:)

I like my olden, 1957 kitchen, too but I sure would like to have a new counter top…and oversized towel racks…
