How to Make Winter Snow Globe Jars

How to make winter snow globe jars (my family loved making these) kellyelko.com

Gather around my good little girls and boys for a magical story.

No, it’s not about a reindeer who could fly nor about a jolly old man that leaves presents under the tree.

Imagine a happy place where the snow is always pure white and glistening…

you don’t need to own a snow shovel …

and you can stroll over a footbridge in the festive town square never worrying about slipping on ice and breaking a hip.

Yes, my friends, such a place really does exist.

In my snow globe jars.

These pedestrian only jars don’t have to worry about cars creating brown slush.

Best part about these jars is that I have tons of uses for them once the snow melts.

I love putting them on my counter tops filled with flour, sugar and salt with cute little measuring cup scoops.

  1. Loving these! As I started reading this post it reminded me of “A Christmas Story”, My favorite Christmas movie!!! Fa Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra.

  2. Kelly,
There are so many to choose from. I do have to say lately, that anything my sweet 6 year old granddaughter sings to me becomes my favorite “at that moment”! There’s something magical about the enthusiasm and excitement in a child’s voice as they burst into song. Even though the notes may be slightly off key at times, it sounds like angel to me! : )
Thank for the wonderful idea with the jars and the chance for a giveaway. How fun and easy!
PS….call me slow, but I’ve always went and bought packaged snow. I’d never thought of using epsom salts. Dollar Store, here I come

  9. I’m torn between “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night.” They are calm and soothing, which holiday times usually aren’t 😉 love your display and that it’s reusable. Cute jars for other stuff later and Epsom salts for a good soak after the holiday madness. Thanks for the giveaway. Happy Holidays!
