The Roxbury – a Catskills Destination (and an announcement)!

January 10, 2013  Outings

Hop over to the FOLK blog today where I’m sharing my adventure at The Roxbury – an over the top, kitschy, crazy, themed room motel in the Catskills of upstate NY.

We stayed in the Amadeus Bride suite …

but my girls decided we should stay in the Coconut Cream Pie room next time.

28 themed rooms and one amazing cottage with a bedroom where you can fall asleep under a canopy of … (you’ll never believe it)!

Find out more about this very cool getaway.

Read my post on The FOLK blog here!

I am thrilled to announce that I will be a contributor to the newly relaunched magazine, Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll.

We’re working on the premiere issue right now and I can’t wait for you to pour over all the awesomeness inside.  A dream team has been assembled including Amy with A Nest for All Seasons, Jennifer Rizzo, Jill with Sew A Fine Seam, Karianne with Thistlewood Farm, Beth of Unskinny Boppy and Lucy from Craftberry Bush

Feast your eyes on the back issues of Celebrating Everyday Life magazine and get ready for the May/June issue – coming in print and digital formats!

Amadeus bridal suite huh? Hmmmm…. this conjures several visuals for me, none of which are as interesting as a ceiling made of meringue.

Wow! That place is really something! I love upstate New York. My grandparents used to own a 200 year old farm when I was a child. It was in the foothills of the Catskils in Delaware county near Oneonta. I visited their a couple of years ago and the owners gave me a tour. I bet your girls loved staying at this hotel! What a cool adventure!

Oh my gosh — just clicked through and I TOTALLY know that hotel!! (My mom has a place in Windham NY). I had *no idea* that someone glammed it up, lol. How fun!
