My Whimsical Christmas Home Tour
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Time to deck those halls and trim those trees.
I’m so happy to be sharing my whimsical Christmas home tour with you today.
This week means five days of houses decked out in all their Christmas finery. Every day this week, more homes will be added and you can start the tour at Jennifer Rizzo.
Welcome if you’re popping over from Just Destiny Mag.
Now, come on in and warm up by the fire.
(See anything you like? Stay tuned for the source list at end of this post).
My favorite mantel ever centers around the world’s cutest personalized long john stockings and a little red car in a forest of trees.
Even Sushi gets her own stocking.
She’s made a list and checked it twice and it includes a diamond collar and mink stole.
Last year, I filled an entire Christmas tree with a flock of these red cardinal ornaments.
This year, I’ve scattered them throughout the house and I love how adding just a few of them here and there adds such a festive touch.
I saved my girls first pairs of ice skates.
I LOVE these huge fluffy, shaggy white pillows that look like giant snowballs. I got a pair of them and the zebra wearing boots pillow at Joss & Main.
Sprinkle a few bottle brush trees on open bookshelves for quick and easy Christmas update.
I can’t get enough vintage Shiny Brites.
See how to make your own giant personalized Santa sacks here.
Cookies for Santa happening here.
There’s definitely no place like home for the holidays! I made this free gingerbread house printable for you here.
My favorite enamel vintage style breadbox is the perfect planter.
I love my wall mounted bottle drying rack – it’s perfect for displaying ornaments, mugs, plates and more.
A smaller version of my bottle drying rack can be found here.
Doesn’t get easier than taping cute cars holding trees onto music sheets.
The perfect centerpiece … and hostess gift … is a beautiful bowl of forced bulbs.
See how to force bulbs here.
A tree in the dining room sets a festive mood.
A birch bark wrapping paper table runner is the perfect backdrop for festive plates and red cutlery.
Pretty red cutlery makes the perfect display until dinner time.
That’s my hubby’s old baby scale!
A JOY marquee lights up the tree.
See how I made this fun winter village wreath here.
Now hop in the back of the fire truck and let’s head to the family room.
There go Dasher and Dancer and Donder and Blitzen … led by Rudolph.
My hubby picked up the chicks in this fire truck as a kid.
Now it’s time for a hot toddy while I wait to find out if I’ve been put on the naughty list.
Next stop on the Christmas home tour train … Dear Lillie.
Stay tuned all week long for more tours or head to Jennifer Rizzo to start the tours from the beginning.

Maybe just light a pine scented candle and pour a glass of wine – then it would be complete! Have a very merry Christmas Mary Beth!
Love it! The birch bark wrapping paper as a table runner is a great idea. I have that exact paper and made my faux candles in my lanterns look like birch candles last year. You’ve given me some great ideas once I start my decorating…..thanks!

So, here are some of my favorite things from your tour – those long john stockings (unique, adorable – so you), that zinc trough full of vintage shiny brights, the vintage ornaments on the drying rack, and that Scotch cooler (almost bought one just like it this past weekend), and of course, the one and only – Sushi!
