Worth the Wait! Family Room Complete

It was more elusive than Sasquatch and harder to find than the Loch Ness Monster.

But my search is finally over and the reward is a finished family room.

I’ve been searching high and low for a leather ottoman for this space but could not find anything I loved. That is until I stumbled across this Article ottoman so of course I had to partner with them once again (because I love both of my Article sofas – see my blue velvet sofa HERE and my gray sofa HERE).

It checks off every box.

Right size, right height, right material, right looks!

I love that it’s real leather not that cheap bonded stuff and the stitching adds such interest. It comes in five colors (I love the blue and gray) but I ended up choosing charme tan and am thrilled with it.

Now let’s change the subject for a minute and pat me on the back for continuing to keep my fiddle leaf fig alive … ok now back to the ottoman.

I thought about getting a coffee table for a hot second but realized that my family must have an ottoman because it’s perfect for feet propping and binge watching The Hallmark Channel (Holiday in Handcuffs anyone?) and it’s big enough to add a tray for drinks or remotes.

It’s sturdy but lightweight (35 lbs) and it’s easy to move around.

I’m on a roll. Now if I could just find the perfect pair of jeans that make me look 10 lbs lighter.

P.S. Here are some before shots with oversized furniture, outdated that just didn’t work in the space – don’t judge!

  1. Looks wunderbar! But I really should not read blogs without my glasses…. the first photo I thought was a little hairy gray paw attached to a white dog, then I remembered you don’t have a white dog and Sushi’s paw wouldn’t be hairy.

  2. I’ve had my eyes on this ottoman for quite some time. I’d like to place it between two sofas as I don’t have the right living room configuration for a sectional. Are you still in love with it? How has it held up?
