They say more is more at Christmas and I’m here for it! This year, it’s all about gathering up one of my favorite collections and stacking them all in a whimsical way on my mantel. Mixing Old and New at Christmas

I love mixing old and new and this mantel is no different. Can you guess which mugs are vintage and which are new? It’s about a 50/50 mix.

Sushi has been trying her best (unsuccessfully) to get off the naughty list for days so she’s very concerned about all the Santas watching her every move.

She’s hoping Santa brings her another furry dog sweater in a different color!

I only bought one Christmas decoration this year and love the way my new white yarn wreath pops against my huge old chalkboard.

Stacking mugs (and my favorite Holt Howard winking Santa pitcher) and adding little bottle brush trees add height and interest.

Use What You Have in Unexpected Ways

I love using old platters in my displays and this one holds old Christmas bulbs and more vintage Santas displayed in antique loving cups.

Ho Ho Ho! Antique trophies are extra special with merry Santas peeking out.

This cute little pup stands among a forest of ceramic Christmas trees.
