Vintage Santa Mug Art in the Kitchen
I’m sharing an easy and inexpensive way to create art for your home, for any season, holiday or occasion. I searched and searched for art to display with my Santa mug collection but could not find anything I liked. I created gift bag framed art that is perfect for my Christmas kitchen. I’m also sharing gift wrap art ideas including the cutest vintage Christmas inspired wrapping paper.
As luck would have it, as I was minding my own business strolling through the gift wrap aisles, I stumbled across the perfect solution!

I have a thing for vintage (and new) Santa mugs so when I spotted this Santa & Mrs. Claus mug gift bag I knew it was fated to come home with me.
It pairs perfectly with my collection and is just the right blend of vintage and whimsical.

I just cut the gift bag apart and popped it into a 16×20 frame and now it completes my Christmas kitchen.
I’ve also used gift wrap as art and absolutely love the vintage look when paired with these wooden frame hangers.

The best thing about using gift bags or gift wrap as art is that you are pretty much guaranteed to be the only one you know who has it hanging in their house.
Brilliant! I’ll never walk the gift bag aisle the same way again!
No you won’t Cyndie!
Love those ideas. Have you linked your Pom Pom garland?
I mixed large and small pom pom garlands on my bannister Rhonda. I found them years ago but here is are similar:

Thanks, I love this idea and my family will too, I’m not as artistic as I use to be.
I’m sure you are very talented Marlene!

I just discovered gift bags as art materials last year. Game changer! But your find is next level with the Santa mugs. Great score!

I saw this idea years ago. And I love it. I have done it so much in the past. Great inexpensive seasonal art! That bag is super cute and perfect for your display!
I’ve decorated with gift wrap for years but when I spotted the bag, I couldn’t believe how perfect it was with my Santa mug collection!
